Multimodal Clinical AI Explainable AI Lung Cancer Decision Support

Overview

MEDIFUSE-AI is an experimental development project for an AI-driven platform supporting the integration and interpretation of multimodal clinical data in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The project aims to bring together clinical records, radiological imaging, digital pathology, and unstructured clinical reports so that heterogeneous evidence can be analysed as part of a single clinical workflow.

ArCo contributes expertise in multimodal AI, explainability, missing-data management, and clinical decision support. The planned platform combines interoperable data management with NLP, generative models, and multimodal prediction, with validation progressing from laboratory proof of concept toward an operational clinical prototype.

Research Directions

  • Multimodal integration of clinical records, CT/DICOM imaging, digital pathology, and clinical text.
  • Explainable and trustworthy AI for clinical decision support in NSCLC.
  • Interoperable data infrastructure, NLP, and generative methods for incomplete clinical data.
