Giulio Iannello graduated in Electronic Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 1981 and received a Ph.D in Computer Science from the University of Napoli Federico II in 1987. He is currently Full Professor at the University Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, where is Dean of the Department of Engineering and responsible of the Research Group on Computer Systems and Bioinformatics His current research interests include biomedical data, signal and image processing, bioinformatics, multimedia data processing, wireless and high performance computer networks, design and analysis of parallel algorithms, performance evaluation of parallel and distributed systems. He has published over 130 journal and conference papers in these and related areas. He is member of several Program Committees of international conferences and referee of international journals. Dr. Iannello is a member of the IEEE, ACM and GIRPR.
