Matteo Tortora is an Assistant Professor (RTD-A) at the Department of Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Genoa. He received his M.Sc. degree with honors and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, where he later worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher on artificial intelligence for precision medicine. His research interests include multimodal deep learning, computer vision, reinforcement learning, time-series forecasting, and hybrid quantum-classical machine learning, with applications to biomedical imaging, remote sensing, energy, and industrial systems.
